77 in our custody, 23 adoptions in 2023!

Happy news!!! 23 dogs have been adopted and gone to their #fureverfurreal homes. We have 77 in our rescue program, 3 in Coyote Ridge training program and most of our available dogs and puppies have completed their training already.

We have some of the best pups we've ever had available right now.

We're very excited about 2023 being one of our best years and have so many plans and projects in the works. We love our supporters and hope to see more of you visiting the rescue and getting involved.

HOURS OF OPERATION COMING SOON!!!! BUT we need volunteers to be on site to assist the visitors. PROPOSED times/days are Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat noon-5pm. During those hours normal duties still need to get done and 1 person isn't enough. Some duties will be greeting visitors and getting them the information, they need or connecting them with a volunteer on site. Don't worry about being bored, there's a lot happening here on a daily basis and rarely a boring moment lol

Our donors and supporters bring donations daily and we're very appreciative of them, our dogs go through a lot of dishes, blankets, beds and food and it is a constant rotation of cleaning, throwing away exploded toys and beds, washing dishes and preparing their meals. We thank you for the ability to create a safer, cleaner and more comfortable environment for the dogs here and in fosters.

As responsible dog owners and a responsible rescue we are getting involved more in the fight to be a better community for our pets. As of late there has been an extreme rise in owners relinquishing their pets and because of this the shelters and rescues are at capacity. City council meetings are the jumping off point to create change and attendance at meetings, speaking about your experiences, sending emails to council members will help reinforce their knowledge of current community needs and changes that are necessary in order to create a safer environment for our pets as well as the people who live here. If you have rescue shirts or hoodies, please wear them to the meetings so they see that you are supporting the dogs in our community.

That's all I'm going to share today but there will be more, so much more! Come say "hi" if you're at the council meetings and keep an eye out for our regular business hours and come visit, volunteer or adopt!!!

Trish
